With over 400 locations across Europe, the Swiss company Sanoptis AG is one of the largest networks of modern eye clinics and ophthalmology practices. Thanks to foresighted planning and investment, which also includes digital representation such as the new website, the Sanoptis network is growing and enjoys a strong digital reputation.
Our job:

Main focus:
A key task was to use the new website to present the Sanoptis brand as the leading network in its industry. As an international player and umbrella organization that further members (eye clinics and practices) want to join, it was important to make a strong impression. Visually, we deliberately opted for a startup look instead of a typical clinical design to underscore the company’s growth ambitions.
Webdesign and layout
Startup design instead of clinical styling. A modern design was deliberately chosen as the visual foundation. While typical clinic colors were used, they were presented in a bright and friendly context, including bold key visuals (such as custom photos and videos) and generous typography. All interfaces with third-party providers were also designed in the new Sanoptis style, seamlessly integrating them visually into the new website.
Maps Design and CMS Integration
A central element of the new website is the Europe-wide location map and overview of all practices and clinics. All 400 locations can be filtered by the website user in the frontend and edited by the admin in the backend. This function is a custom in-house solution by Chris and friends, allowing it to be tailored down to the last pixel to fit the design and needs of the website (and the client).
Jobs and Career Solution
It’s a match! With over 3,500 employees, Sanoptis AG is one of the largest employers in the field of ophthalmology in Europe. From the start, it was clear that the new website would also need to have a strong focus on jobs and careers. At Chris and friends, when it comes to career pages, we have been partnering with established players for many years. We integrate the latest solutions via XML interface into the existing website, visually align them with the web design, and support our clients with all questions related to digital HR.
Multilanguage webdesign
One website, five languages. As an international company, the Sanoptis AG website requires an international presence with a multi-language module. Important for us: Different typographies (e.g., Greek) should not disrupt or alter the overall visual appearance of the website and its design but should seamlessly integrate into the layout in all languages. Automatic browser language detection also plays a crucial role in the multi-language module.
