The customer:
Hotel Oderberger, with its historic city bath, is a staple in the Berlin hotel and gastronomy scene and one of the many clients we serve nationwide in this industry. We have been assisting the cult hotel in Prenzlauer Berg, nestled between Kastanienallee and Schönhauser Allee, with all web design matters since 2015.
The job:
- • Development of various key visuals for the website
- • Custom hero sequence videos for the header
- • Delicate web design and full-screen navigation
- • Open source content management (WordPress) as backend
- • Room booking software with CDN network
- • Website maintenance (updates, backups, etc.)
Webdesign main focus
Living la vida local: The focus of our work was to bring the authentic Berlin neighborhood feel into the website environment and to translate the historical significance of the building, including the locally known and beloved city bath, into a new and modern design. Content production, including model scouting and storyboarding, played a particularly important role as always.

Design & Layout
Colors, shapes, and aesthetics consistently reflect the design of the rooms, the wall colors, and, of course, the unique architecture. Since this was already the second website for the client and we were given some well-known boutique hotels as references, we were able to finalize the basic visual design very quickly. It was also clear that one of the key visuals and web design hooks would be a custom video, which would become the centerpiece around which the entire web design CI would revolve.
Booking Software
As a web design agency, we have been collaborating with various providers for many years, enabling us and our clients to seamlessly integrate the website with diverse booking portals such as Booking.com, etc. Naturally, these integrations are tailored to match the hotel’s corporate design perfectly and are incorporated into the CMS backend.
Video content
One of our Chris and friends signature moves is creating custom hero sequence videos. We created such a video for the Hotel Oderberger website as well. To achieve optimal results, we thoroughly scouted the location before the shooting day, created and shared a storyboard in advance, discussed potential models for the shoot, and had everything set up on the day of the shoot. Naturally, the content can also be utilized on social media channels.
Long-term Customer Relationship
More than just a good outcome: We are particularly proud of our long-term and collaborative partnership with the team behind Hotel Oderberger. This relationship dates back to 2015 and has seen us execute the second website relaunch and additional hotel websites, which we continue to proudly maintain and optimize to this day.
